About Sk8arcade — You’re Invited
My roller skating journey began at around 10 years old. Like many skaters, I stepped on and off skates over the years, but in 1991 everything clicked again when I moved to San Diego, California. That’s where I bought my first pair of Rollerblade® skates and truly fell back in love with skating.
I spent countless days skating the Coronado Strand and many nights skating indoors at local San Diego rinks. Skating wasn’t just exercise—it became a way to explore, unwind, and connect with the places around me.
In 1997, I moved to Los Angeles and continued the journey, logging miles at roller rinks and skating the iconic 3.2-mile loop around the Rose Bowl golf course and stadium. Every move brought new terrain, new communities, and a deeper appreciation for skating as a lifestyle.
Today, now based in the Midwest, skating remains a constant—only now I’m bringing friends along for the ride. Sk8arcade was created to invite others into this journey, whether you’re just starting out or rediscovering skating like I did.
The products and recommendations shared here are chosen to help you find what works best for your skating path. That’s why Sk8arcade — “You’re Invited” isn’t just a slogan; it’s an open invitation to be part of the experience.
